50th Anniversary, Oregon Court of Appeals

Willamette University College of Law and the Appellate Practice Section of the Oregon State Bar invite you to a CLE and Celebration marking the 50th Anniversary of the Oregon Court of Appeals, to take place at Willamette Law, September 6, 2019.
First, join us in the afternoon for CLE sessions discussing the history and current work of the Court. Confirmed presenters include practitioners (Jas Adams, Anna Joyce, Jim Nass, Alycia Sykora, Marc Brown, Denise Fjordbeck, Leslie Hughes, and Jim Westwood) as well as current and former Judges and Justices (Robin Aoyagi, Rex Armstrong, Paul De Muniz, James Egan, Erika Hadlock, Rick Haselton, Erin Lagesen, Jack Landau, Darlene Ortega, Steve Powers, Scott Shorr, and David Schuman). Additional panel details are available at the registration link; we will apply for 4 General CLE credits. Cost for the CLE is $25 (current and former judges, as well as current clerks and staff, no charge).
Then, in a celebration scheduled for 5:30 pm, we will celebrate the Court and its legacy as distinguished guests share their perspective. After an introduction from Chief Judge James Egan, confirmed speakers include Senate President Peter Courtney, Former Judge Mary Deits, and Judges Haselton and Hadlock. A reception will follow with appetizers and drinks.
