Updated: Application period is now closed.
The application deadline has been extended for the federal judicial vacancy for the Oregon seat on the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and the vacancy for the U.S. District Court for Oregon. After reviewing applications, the Judicial Selection Committee found that the applicant pool was not as geographically diverse as they had hoped. The Selection Committee decided to reopen the application process through December 1st, 2017 to allow for the inclusion of any applicants that may not have previously been aware of the opportunity.
Interested applicants should send a letter of interest, resume and application found here to the attention of Elise Downing: [email protected] in Senator Wyden’s office by close of business on December 1st, 2017.
Finalists will be chosen by the selection committee for the each of the federal court positions and will be forwarded to the White House for consideration.
The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals vacancy arose when Judge Diarmuid O’Scannlain took senior status at the end of last year. The vacancy for the U.S. District Court for Oregon was created when Judge Anna Brown took senior status in July.
